Learn how to make the most powerful defense against one of the most dangerous attacks; wire attack around the neck. Expert krav maga, mma and self defense instructor Jarret Waldman will teach you how to generate unbelievable power when delivering your roundhouse kick. He will break down every stage of the technique from start to finish.

Jarret Waldman was introduced to Krav Maga in 1983. He has spent the last 30 years perfecting his own skills, and mentoring students and instructors in the system originally founded by one of his own mentors, Imi Lichtenfeld. Today, Jarret holds the rank of Fourth Degree Black Belt, and is one of the most accomplished practitioners of Krav Maga in the United States.

Born in Brooklyn, Jarret and his family moved to the San Fernando Valley when he was nine years old. It was in the Valley where he discovered what would be his life’s passion. Jarret was introduced to Krav Mag in junior high at Heschel Day School, where instructor Darren Levine first brought and taught the principles of Krav Maga. Shortly thereafter, Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of Krav Maga, began traveling to Los Angeles to train with Darren and his first crop of students. Jarret not only has the distinction and honor of being a member of that original group, he was also one of Darren Levine’s top students.

In 1993, Jarret traveled to Israel to train with Krav Maga founder, Imi Lichtenfeld. It was there that Imi signed Jarret’s first black belt certificate, and Jarret had the opportunity to train under Eyal Yanilov and Eli Eviksar – two of Imi’s top instructors in the world.

Jarret was part of a hand-chosen team of instructors to travel around the country teaching and certifying Krav Maga licensees. As one of the original members of the Krav Maga Professional Committee, and one of the members of Krav Maga Worldwide Technical Advisor Committee, Jarret has been instrumental in the expansion and growth of Krav Maga within the United States.

As General Manager, Director of Operations Training Centers, and Director of Instructor Development, Jarret assisted Krav Maga Worldwide with the opening of their Sherman Oaks and West Los Angeles locations. He co-founded Krav Maga Unyted in 2012 to pursue his life’s dream and passion of bringing the values and advantages of this art to everyone.

Jarret takes pride in empowering people from all walks of life. His students have included law enforcement academies such as Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, LAPD, Beverly Hills PD, El Segundo PD, and various federal agencies; battered women organizations; numerous celebrities; stay-at-home moms, and business executives. Everyone can benefit from the Krav Maga self-defense system, whether it is in their professional or personal lives.

Jarret’s dynamic personality enables him to inspire positive change within his students. Given how physically and mentally demanding Krav Maga is, his priority is to motivate and nurture others into feeling confident about themselves. His personal motto is “Never Stop Training”….a mindset that he instills upon all of his students.

Staying true to his motto, Jarret is always looking to expand and share his knowledge in self-defense fitness and fighting styles. Having trained in systems such as Issinryu Karate, Tang Soo Do, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling; boxing, and combat shooting, Jarret has also earned his fourth degree Black Belt in Krav Maga, as well as certifications in Russian Kettle bell, Verbal self-defense systems, Bas Rutten MMA System 1, and is a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Firearms’ training is especially important for Krav Maga instructions, since so many of the lessons teach defense against many various gun threats. Jarret has trained with Scotty Reitz, founder of ITTS (International Tactical Training Seminars, Inc), as well as with Jeremy Stafford, founder of Vindico Tactical Firearms Training.

Above all else, Jarret is a family man, and when he is not on the floor training and teaching others, he is with his wife Chassi and two sons, Tyler and Ryan. Jarret gets his motivation and drive to be successful from wanting to provide the best for the ones he loves, and it shows through his accomplishments both on and off the mat!
