Most people will find that the slap is more powerful than the punch for them. The reason for this is most people can twist from left to right easier than can twist from backwards forwards.
The slap is also deemed less aggressive then the punch.
You can put your hand in your pocket and take it anywhere in the world and you can use it whenever necessary. Though you do need to train it.
